With all the boom Nordic gastronomy has seen in the past 15 years it's easy to forget the guys who were pioneers of the New Nordic cuisine are still just barely 40 years old. Which might also explain why the movement shows no signs of slowing down.

The European Food Summit, one of the most important European culinary events, shall inspire us again between 6th and 8th November 2021 with stories of exceptional individuals who have been successfully sculpting the idea of sustainable future of food worldwide, alongside a rich accompanying culinary program.

We were optimists. Not long ago, we still thought the circumstances would get back to normal, that restaurants would be welcoming guests as before, that planes would take off and land regularly and that we would put the fear of the covid 19 epidemic behind us.

the European Food Summit, one of the leading European culinary events is returning to Ljubljana, Slovenia in November. World’s top chefs and extraordinary individuals from the culinary, art and media fields, making the world a better place through the future of food, are coming to Slovenia between 7th and 9th November 2020. Through their stories, they shall inspire and encourage us to think forward and work toward a better and more sustainable future.

We would like to inform you that the European Food Summit, planned for the dates 28th-30th March is postponed.

Between 28th and 30th March, once again, Ljubljana shall host the European Food Summit, which has become one of Europe's most important culinary events. Several distinguished international speakers who have dedicated their lives to fully understand the importance of food and the issues of modern nutrition will share their conclusions for a better tomorrow. The three-day event will offer anyone who wishes to change the world for better a rich set of accompanying events with top Slovenian chefs that are not to be missed.

We would like to inform you, that the European Food Summit planned between 28th and 30th March will take place. In Slovenia, there has been no case of coronavirus infection reported so far, therefore, the country remains safe. The organization team thus continues with preparations for the event with as much enthusiasm as before.

How would you define a good lunch? For some it is a fresh healthy salad, for others, it is a burger made with locally raised beef and fries. But it’s not just what food we eat that matters, it is also important how we eat it, alone or in the company of others.

The bases of our living here on Earth are the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat.
